Dustin was the oldest of three children. His younger brother looked up to him and his little sister Amanda adored him, he was, and continues to be, her hero. Dustin’s first job when He was 15 was babysitting Amanda who is 9 years younger than him. I am just hearing the stories now about how he would bribe her with cookies if she promised not to tell me what the boys had been up to that day. Apparently throwing water balloons at girls from our porch roof was one day’s entertainment. I can only imagine that Dustin is somewhere laughing as Amanda shares these stories with me. He had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. There was not much he couldn’t laugh at. He decided to join the military on September 11, 2001 and was rather upset with me because I wouldn’t let him sign up that day, he was 13. He never faltered in that commitment and used the early entry program to join the Air Force in his senior year of high. Dustin made friends easily and he is missed by so many. Forever 26 He will never be forgotten.
