Tony wanted to join the Marines since he was 5 years old and we lived in Okinawa. He’d see the Marines stationed there and would tell me he was going to be a Marine. He left for Boot Camp 8 days after graduating from high school and graduated from MCRD San Diego on 9/14/2001, 3 days after 9/11. He spent 6 years in the Marines and then crossed over to the Army for a MOS he wanted. He spent 4 years in the Army but got out to save his marriage. Unfortunately that did not help. Tony has a son, Aiden, who was his entire life. Tony was the best son, brother, dad, uncle, and friend, always putting others before himself. He had the greatest sense of humor and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He had the most beautiful smile and he was always kind and respectful. He had PTSD and that along with a cruel divorce was too much for him to go on. His demons finally won.
