Following graduation from Hall-Dale High School in 2012 he enlisted in the Army in 2013. After Basic training and going to AIT for training as a Field Artillery Mechanic, he was stationed in Korea for a year and upon returning stateside was stationed at Ft. Hood Texas.

During his enlistment he received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.

Casey was a born mechanic and had a very giving soul, he often put others needs before his own, even giving up his plans for New Years Eve to get some urgent safety work done on the Paladins that were needed. After volunteering to stay, others followed his lead and stayed. Not only did he do this for his fellow battle buddies, but also for the lives he touched at home before and after he decided to serve his country.

Since the age of 2 Casey said he would join the Army and at age 18 he did, telling every one he did it to “serve my country” and “to help protect and defend those in other countries who couldn’t defend themselves”……Casey, even though you were among us for a brief time, you have made us proud, we miss you, we love you.

“The biggest fear a loved one has is that their loved one will be forgotten, so speak their name.”
