Jonathan was my little brother. I think he always struggled with depression but we didn’t know enough to recognize that when he was younger. He was always fun-loving and loved loved LOVED to make everyone laugh all the time. He grew up in Akron, Ohio with our parents and me. He enlisted in the Navy shortly after high school (around 1999/2000) and became a Machinist’s Mate on a Nuclear Submarine, He was deployed several times over the 9 years he served the U.S. Navy. He resided then near Mystic, Connecticut near his Navy brother, Calvin. Jonathan took his own life on March 12th, 2016. Though he didn’t have any children of his own, after his passing, Calvin got married & had a son, who he named Jonathan. They have made me their sister / little Jonathan’s Aunt and I am so blessed. My brother was a joy and we all miss him so very much. I will be glad to see him again in heaven someday. <3
