Are you ready for some football?? 🏈 SAVE22 is! The University of Akron and Akron Zips Football are holding a Military Appreciation Night during their home opener Saturday night and are asking SAVE22 to be a part of the action! A portion of proceeds from tickets purchased through SAVE22 will benefit our organization! Link to purchase tickets 🎟️: https://fevo-enterprise.com/event/SAVE22VET Important information: The university’s military services will host the pre-game tailgate in Lot 9 which is right behind the scoreboard by the stadium. Parking is free of charge in the Lot 1 Parking Deck. The tailgate will have a tent with an American Flag raised on a pole for easy identification. REMEMBER, if you’re a veteran or military member you can claim your FREE ticket using your military ID at the ticket office. We hope to see you at Akron’s home opener on Saturday night! 9-11-2001 A day that will forever be remembered as one of the worst in our nation’s history, claiming the lives of 2,977 Americans. It’s a tragedy that continues to claim lives to this day. A terrorist attack that struck American to her core but unified her like few times seen before. Today we pause to remember and reflect on the lives of those lost, especially the first responders who went into the burning towers despite the fate that they faced. We think of the families who have gone 23 years without their loved ones. And we stand with those who survived the attacks but continue to face demons from those attacks to this day. Though thousands may no longer be with us, their lives were not lost in vain and we shall never forget their memory nor their sacrifice to this great nation. We ask that you join us in a pause of remembrance of those we lost 23 years ago this morning. #SAVE22 #911 #gonebutnotforgotten #honor
