Program Alert❗️SAVE22’s upcoming weekend camping retreat is a great time to get to know more about our offerings, SAVE22 as a whole and more about yourself! We will be staying near Tanner, WV. This event is for first responders and veterans only. We will enjoy time in the outdoors sitting around a campfire, cooking some great food, playing some games, relaxing, and getting to know each other. This trip is 100% free! Lodging is provided also. Camping is available if you'd prefer some fresh air. We can provide transportation or assist with gas if needed. The goal is to introduce the nature activities program and develop the agenda for future events. Come meet some new people and make some memories! SAVE22 is wishing the United States Air Force a happy 77th birthday today! The U.S. Air Force was established as its own branch of the military by Congress and President Harry S. Truman on September 18th, 1947. Prior to this new organization, aircraft and pilots had been under the purview of the U.S. Army, which purchased its first airplane from Orville Wright in 1909. The University of Akron and Akron Zips Football are holding a Military Appreciation Night during their home opener Saturday night and are asking SAVE22 to be a part of the action! A portion of proceeds from tickets purchased through SAVE22 will benefit our organization! Parking is free of charge in the Lot 1 Parking Deck. The tailgate will have a tent with an American Flag raised on a pole for easy identification. REMEMBER, if you’re a veteran or military member you can claim your FREE ticket using your military ID at the ticket office. We hope to see you at Akron’s home opener on Saturday night!
